Recently, we asked businesses if they had a strategic business plan. The responses ranged from "I must put one together", “it’s in my head”, “I’ve got it somewhere” to “of course, it’s in a well documented 15-page plan in my office filing cabinet.”  

It’s imperative that a business plan for any organisation is documented, kept somewhere for ease of reference and for sharing with key stakeholders regularly. The POP is a simple, single page overview of the business plan, its priorities, and its direction. It’s a bird’s eye view of the business that can be used regularly as a reference page and visual reminder of why and what you're doing.
